Rabbi Paul Gordon

Rabbi Paul Gordon is a graduate of CSU, Northridge with a BA in Religious Studies. He studied for the rabbinate and received ordination as a Rabbi from the Academy for Jewish Religion in New York City.
Rabbi Paul serves communities in California's Central Valley. Recently he has served as an Educator in Redwood City, CA. Rabbi Paul has worked as a pulpit rabbi at congregations in Bakersfield and Modesto, CA. He has had a varied rabbinate serving the entire Jewish community. He has served as the Jewish chaplain at area hospitals, a lecturer for local colleges and a speaker for various religious and community based organizations. As a student, Rabbi Paul served as the spiritual leader of synagogues in Myrtle Beach, SC and Keene, NH.
Rabbi Paul has a diverse religious background; he was raised in the Reform movement, in college he became an active member of the Orthodox community in Los Angeles where he was trained as a shamas and mashgiach tamidi (kosher food supervisor) working with the local Hillel and a kosher establishments. Later he began his studies for the rabbinate at a Conservative seminary. All of these different experiences have given Rabbi Gordon a broad and inclusive vision of Judaism that he seeks to bring to his rabbinate and all of Klal Yisrael.
